Nottinghamshire LPC Pharmacy Ball (fundraiser) 2015

On 24th January, the LPC Committee hosted the first annual Pharmacy Ball in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society. The black tie event was attended by just under 100 people and they were entertained by live music from the band Imogen Gray.  Rob Severn, LPC Chair, opened the event and began the fundraising to help the 60,000 people affected by dementia in the East Midlands. The guests enjoyed a three course meal before taking part in a silent auction with the top prize being tickets to Wembley. The raffle also brought together an eclectic mix of prizes including a giant box of pasta and rounds of golf. The night raised £1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society and Danielle Hindle, Community Fundraiser, commented “It’s fantastic that the Nottinghamshire LPC held a charity ball earlier in the year to help raise vital awareness and funds. We are very grateful to them and everyone who attended the ball for their generosity and support. It is organisations like the Nottinghamshire LPC that enable us to support more people living with dementia and their families and carers.”We will be looking at running another event later in the year so watch this space for details.
