EPS and Schedule 2 & 3 controlled drugs – June 2015
Please find a document sent from the Department of Health in relation to electronic prescribing of schedule 2 & 3 controlled drugs. The relevant legislative amendments have just been laid in Parliament, to come into force in the summer, enabling the electronic prescribing of Schedules 2 and 3 controlled drugs for NHS and private prescribers. Prescriptions will be signed with an advanced electronic signature and sent via the electronic prescription service, with its additional security features.
