Sherwood PCN engagement event – 15.01.20

15th January 2020 7.15pm - 9.15pm

Ramsdale Park Golf Club, Oxton Road, Calverton, NG24

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) will be the foundation for integrated care systems in the future. They will be the way that the NHS will organise itself to provide care to patients locally and will involve local healthcare professions collaborating to deliver a joined up service that meets the needs of patients more effectively. PCNs must start to engage with local community pharmacies before April 2020. Community pharmacies will receive payment for engaging with the PCN through the Pharmacy Quality Scheme. More information on PSNC website (https://psnc.wpengine.com/services-commissioning/pharmacy-quality-scheme/) under quality criteria.

The PCNs in Nottinghamshire are keen to engage early with local community pharmacies and in association with the LPC have arranged an event with Sherwood PCN to start the engagement process. At the event you will hear from PCN Clinical Director and other PCN colleagues.

The event will cover;

• An introduction to PCNs

• The PQS package for Primary Care Networks

• The local PCN situation

• The priorities for Sherwood PCN

• Identify the Pharmacy PCN leads as per Pharmacy Quality Scheme criteria

Contractors will also start the discussion with their PCNs to identify how pharmacies will work with the PCN to deliver services in the future.

This workshop builds on the content of the previous workshop and is important to start the engagement process with your local PCN

If you are interested in being the Pharmacy PCN lead for your local PCN and have not already let the LPC know please do this via the booking form.

If you aspire to achieve this quality scheme criteria this is an absolutely vital workshop to attend – if you are unable to attend personally then we strongly recommend that someone from your pharmacy attend on your behalf.
