Preparing for the Pharmacy Quality Scheme

The Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) is worth between £6.4k-£12.8k (£7k-£14k for PCN Pharmacy Leads). This workshop is being provided by the LPCs to help contractors understand the scheme and maximise their quality points to maximise payments under the scheme.

Part of this payment may have been made in November – the Aspiration Payment. If you don’t achieve sufficient quality points you may find a deduction is taken from your payment on April 1st 2020. Making sure you plan to achieve the maximum number of points for the pharmacy is important to maximise the pharmacies income.

The window for PQS declaration is between the 3rd February to 28th February so this workshop is timely. During the workshop participants will complete an action plan and a number of the criteria that makes up the scheme.
