Pharmacy First One Year On – How to continue to improve
2nd March 2025 10am - 3pm
Double Tree Hilton (Gateway Hotel), Nuthall Road, NG8 6AZ
Community Pharmacy Nottinghamshire and Community Pharmacy Derbyshire have teamed up to host a FREE workshop to look at how the first year of Pharmacy First has gone and how pharmacies can continue to improve. We’ll look at what’s been achieved so far with the service and provide expert guidance on how to prepare for the next stage which will see Hypertension Case Finding and Contraception Services being bundled within the service from April. The workshop will also include hands-on clinical training for children’s clinical pathways, an update on the IP Pathfinder scheme, what a great Pharmacy First patient experience looks like, a clinical note taking session and much more!
The venue is within easy reach of the M1 Junction 26 and the A52 linking Nottingham and Derby. There will be a delicious lunch provided in the hotel restaurant.
Workshop Agenda:
– Session on consultations with children, including Otoscope training
– Initiation of contraception: how to feel confident in initiating this service
– How best to link services so pharmacies can support holistic patient care and maximise returns
– An overview and update on each service, including a view of thresholds, from April
– The launch of two new patient facing websites for services linked to Pharmacy First (Hypertension, Contraception) for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire citizens.
– Clinical Note Taking: how to improve your note taking skills
Please book your place ASAP and please pass onto other staff and colleagues who you think will benefit from attending on the day, including any of your locum pharmacists.
