Healthy Living Pharmacy – Champion training

The new Community Pharmacy Contract Framework has moved Healthy Living Pharmacy from being a quality point to be part of our terms of service. This means that being an HLP is now mandatory from 1st April 2020.

Accreditation as an HLP required two key training points;

• At least one team member must be a healthy living champion (complete the RSPH Level 2 in Understanding Health Improvement), and
• Someone in the pharmacy should have completed a leadership training workshop.

Unfortunately there is no funding available for this training however the LPC is helping contractors meet these requirement by facilitating training programmes at the LPC offices. This is being delivered in association with Metaphor Development Ltd.

Contractors will be required to fund this training and we are able offer these courses at the following prices;

• Health champion workshop including exam fee – £72.50 + VAT
• Leadership for HLP – £65 + VAT

These are competitively priced and participants will complete their training within the day. Participants at the Champions’ workshop will complete the course assessment at the end of the day.
