Emergency Supply Service – decommissioning 31.03.23
This service is being decommissioned on 31.03.23
The enhanced service will apply during GP out of hour’s periods i.e. Monday to Thursday 6.30 pm until 8am, weekends Friday to Monday from 6.30 pm to 8am and Bank Holidays. Pharmacists may supply up to five (5) day’s supply of medicines to patients who meet the requirements of the emergency supply rules. Please note the service previously allowed ten days supply.
Details of those pharmacies wishing to take part will be shared with NHS111 and out of hours medical providers and patients will be actively signposted to those pharmacies taking part in the out of hour’s period.
